What KP astrology adds to a traditional reading

Krishnamurti Paddhati was developed to answer specific questions with greater precision than broad classical analysis usually allows. It uses the Placidus house system and, most distinctively, the sub-lord of each cusp.

Sub-lords and significators

In KP, the sub-lord of the relevant cusp effectively decides whether a matter fructifies. Combined with the stellar significators of the houses involved, this produces a much sharper answer than a general reading of house strength.

When to prefer KP

KP suits narrowly framed questions — a pending transfer, a property sale, a specific application. For a broad life reading, traditional Vedic analysis of the whole chart remains the better starting point. Used together, the two systems complement one another.
